Jim Thiebaud's skateboarding career and contributions to skateboarding are incredible. He started out as an am for Powell Peralta, turned pro for Santa Monica Airlines and founder of Real Skateboards with friend Tommy Guerrero, one of the most famous pros in the late 80's and a member of the Bones Brigade. Jim is known for being one of the nicest people in skateboarding and was instrumental in helping set up charities and why within skateboarding that give back, support those in need and perpetuate the idea that skateboarders care of themselves. It's this same mindset that has made Spitfire the company it is: created by skaters for skaters! Over the years, Spitfire Wheels has sponsored some of the biggest names in skateboarding such as Lance Mountain, Ishod Wair, Mark Gonzales, Dennis Busenitz, John Cardiel, Eric Koston, Evan Smith, Jamie Foy, Shane O'Neill, Theotis Beasley, Erik Ellington, Andrew Reynolds, Sean Malto Guy Mariano, Chris Cole, Mason Silva and the Italian pro Jacopo Carozzi. The company's first video, "Spitfire," was released in 1993 and featured legends Ed Templeton, Jonas Wray, Jamie Thomas, Jason Dill, and Julien Stranger, among many others. Then follow other skate videos such as Andrew Reynolds' intro, Mike Mo Capaldi's (a fake "sponsor me" video) and Daewon Song's promotional video for his wheel model "Enter the Daewon".
